The ING Bank S.A. is a part of the ING Group — a Dutch multinational banking and financial services corporation headquartered in Amsterdam. Its primary businesses are retail banking, direct banking, commercial banking, investment banking, wholesale banking, private banking, asset management, and insurance services.

Challenge.
ING wants to upgrade their banking platforms by introducing a modern approach based on API
ING’s SME division, which focuses on retail banking services, contracted Genuitek to upgrade their infrastructure and build an API for their e-banking solution.
Moreover, they wanted to expand their B2B offering with a mobile application suite.
ING preferred Genuitek to other vendors due to our strong technical expertise, flexibility in terms of cooperation models and the ability to quickly ramp-up and scale the project team. Since the beginning of our cooperation, our team grew from two to 12 experts working on two different projects.
Solution.
Improved user experience and several new API delivered
The Genuitek team joined the client’s team and implemented a set of completely new APIs to establish smooth communication between external applications and the backend of the system to increase its responsiveness and improve performance.
The redesigned ING Mobile application – the best mobile application for companies in Central and Eastern Europe (according to Global Finance) is now an additional communication channel using modern API and quick integration with the ecosystem based on effective solutions such as Oracle ESB or Apache Kafka.
